Abstract
The particular thesis aims to create an audiovisual work of art, which combines the sound with image. This work of art is based on the memories of its creator, in order to arouse emotions, through soundscapes, and create images to each attendee. More specifically, the thesis aims to analyze, a) the concept of space, as an environment in which experiences and memories are being acquired, associated with the images and sounds, b) the idea of time, as space-time continuum captured in images, c) the creation of an artistic work of art and its adaptation to the school environment, along with the investigation of students’ reaction and understanding. A questionnaire was used for the survey, which included open and close ended questions. Thirty one students, from ten to twelve years old, replied to the questionnaire. The results of the survey, showed that, even though students had no previous experience on audiovisual works of art, they have understood the concept of this particular environment. Being encouraged by this work of art, they have managed to express themselves through sound. The implementation of art in the educational process is a wide issue, which requires further research. However, new approaches of art, as well as the need of more frequent artistic getaways, are generated. This way, the aims of particular thesis, are met.
