Abstract
The thirty-year demographic and administrative visualization of the Ionian University (1984-2017)
The aim of this thesis is to investigate and capture the demographic and administrative changes in the Ionian University in the period 1984-2018, which contributed to the formation of its physiognomy. The research was based on archival material of the Ionian University. In particular, were used the registers of the students, the administrative and teaching staff as well as the minutes of the meetings of the administration of the University. The data collected made it possible to record the evolutionary course of the administrative structure of the foundation and from the demographic parameters recorded in these books and the statistical processing and analysis of them, were also formed the characteristics of its human resources. In addition, the digital archive of the National Printing Office was used, where was researched the information related to the Ionian University, which helped to understand its educational structure by illuminating the educational processes. The dissertation was completed by drawing conclusions concerning the structure and functioning of the Foundation during the first thirty-three years of its presence in higher education.
