Abstract
The paper discusses the perception of the artists as far as the museographic diligence of their work and the spectators’ visual perception is concerned. “Gestalt” concept and the visual perception in reference to the artistic work and to the exhibition hall are researched. Furthermore, an effort is made to investigate new ways of artistic exhibitions perceptions emphasizing the holistic exhibitional experience. Therefore an analysis of data collected by artists' interviews from all over Greece has been made. Those interviews discuss issues about the holistic perception of the exhibition space and the artists’ attempt to organize the tangible objects aiming at a more rounded artistic experience. This research was based on a qualitative approach, gathering data through interiews of ten individual artists. The current research has noted down the artists’ concerns about their artistic work and exhibition place, as well as their diversified view of the completion feeling that they want to offer to their spectators. The conclusion is that the exhibition place is of great concern to the artists in Greece, who can “discuss” with his/her work through the “Gestalt” principles, aiming at a deeper understanding and signification
