Abstract
The following project examines the subtitling of the short-length, Irish movie, Ruby. What is presented first, is the subtitles of the movie in the language combination English-Greek, for which the 'SubtitleEdit' program was used. A source-text analysis and the strategies used according to the various challenges encountered during the subtitling process follows, while always keeping in mind the official standards of subtitling.
