Abstract
As a postgraduate student, having completed my internship, I was confronted to the working conditions in the field of translation. The purpose of this dissertation, in addition to presenting a portfolio of translations accompanied by translator’s comments, is also to report the difficulties that a new graduate translator may face during his/ her transition from student to employee, the expectations that the translation agencies have from people who provide language services, the familiarity with translation and language tools as well as whether our undergraduate studies ultimately prepare us to respond to the needs ofthe market. In addition, it is very important to analyze and categorize the new fields of translation, as well as the process and the preparation of the texts that are to be translated before their final delivery.
