Abstract
For a University, an attractive and functional website has multiple advantages because it is the best way to inform and communicate and transmit information. The purpose of this thesis was to create a modern and functional website for the University of Ioannina with advanced construction techniques such as Bricks Builder.
One of the most important features of Bricks Builder is the ability to use "query loops," "custom post types," and "relations." These website building tools provide the ability to create advanced structures, allowing for dynamic content display, management of custom content types, and linking of different content types.
The advanced Bricks technology was not only chosen for aesthetic reasons but because the primary goal of the project was the efficient management and presentation of the content. Consequently using them to create web content and graphics makes them very useful for anyone who wants to create web content, while pagebuilders can solve display problems or quickly implement complex features.
The use of Bricks Builder, in the creation of the website of the University of Ioannina, led to a modern, functional and flexible website. Bricks Builder's advanced features created an efficient and user-friendly website. In addition, through the training of ten University employees in the use of forms in the frontend, their active participation in updating the content becomes possible. The specific training gives the staff the possibility to directly post announcements and events, while the approval process from the rectory ensures the consistency and quality of the content. With this integrated approach, the website is not only an aesthetically pleasing environment, but is highly functional as it is constantly updated, and offers rich, connected content, representing the University of Ioannina in the modern digital world.
