Abstract
This dissertation study examines the subtitling process of the French film Plaire aimer et courir vite (2018) directed by Christophe Honoré drawing on theoretical insights from Translation Studies and Subtitling. Several issues are highlighted, such as the difficulties encountered during the process of subtitling and the various strategies followed for resolving these difficulties. Furthermore, special attention is drawn to the research that should be carried out throughout the subtitling of a film. The main aim of this dissertation is to acknowledge the role of the subtitler, who contributes to the intercultural mediation.
