Abstract
This BA thesis assignment is short interpreting research project, focusing on interpreting students' performance in simultaneous interpreting into their native tongue. The essay examines their interpreting performance on an interview speech by Computer Science Professor Konstantinos Daskalakis, which combines aspects of scientific discource and emotional speech. The assessment gives emphasis on the translation of scientific terms, accuracy of expression and adaptability on switching styles. Moreover, the students were interviewed on their personal evaluation of the performance, and the results were compared to the actual interpreting product.
