Abstract
The topic of the thesis focuses on the modeling of behavioral data, derived from a multicultural population and physiological biomarkers (indicators of disability) from People with Disabilities, with the aim of early detection of dementia and the classification of populations in groups at high risk of developing dementia. The aim of the research was to create an innovative protocol, which combines heterogeneous factors of behavioral criteria, cognitive indicators and biomarkers for the detection of early dementia in vulnerable population groups, such as People with Disabilities and the multicultural population. For the implementation of the protocol, a suitable application was developed, which includes a set of tests, with which the above population was evaluated. A functional model of dementia detection in a vulnerable population and in a population with cross-cultural differences was formulated. Based on the resulting research data, a mechanism for the detection of dementia was proposed as a possible suggestion in the underdiagnosis of these populations by primary health care professionals. The proposal for modeling the detection of early dementia in a multicultural population and People with Disabilities is aimed at primary health personnel, without the need for additional training, it is suitable for population in remote/rural areas, as well as for vulnerable groups of the elderly population and people with no or minimal formal education.
