Abstract
This doctoral dissertation focuses on the introduction and contribution of tactile recording systems in the teaching environment of Byzantine music, as well as how they can contribute to the equal education of visually impaired students. Systematic mapping of the six dots braille codes of Byzantine chant, based on the methods of Dimitrios Chrysafidis and the monk Dositheos, is detailed presented. The application of the eBraille Byzantine music code and transcribing paleography of Byzantine music into braille are also included. Additionally, methods for the tactile integration of Byzantine chant isokratima into Braille are described. Subsequently, proposals for the utilization of tactile writing systems in the environment of Byzantine music, along with perspectives opened by the use and application of eBraille Byzantine music code in modern reality, are presented.
