Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is a brief introduction to the ways of implementing and designing quantum circuits. In the first chapter quantum gates are presented in detail. Their function, the application of their action on the qubits as well as the results of these actions are explained. In addition, the visualization of each quantum gate is explained. In the second chapter, fundamental quantum algorithms are described. In the third chapter there is an introduction to the methods of implementation and the design techniques of quantum circuits, the building blocks of which are the quantum gates mentioned in the previous chapter. Finally, in the fourth chapter the future trends are described as an attempt is made to present the latest developments in the synthesis of efficient and optimal quantum circuits, which is a crucial factor in the effort to implement quantum computers.
