Abstract
This post-graduate assignment, entitled ‘Logic within Insanity’ consists of two parts, one is
theoretical and the other practical. The practical part is a video projection in the Royal Palace
grounds, situated in Corfu town, using the projection mapping technique. The subject of this
projection was inspired by the mental condition of Giannoulis Halepas who was hospitalized
in the Psychiatric Hospital in Corfu, and examines some of his works, such as ‘Satire’,
created during his confinement in the mental hospital. The purpose of the 3D digital mapping
presentation is to give an insight of Halepa’s fragile mental health to the viewer, with a deeper
aim being the visualization of the artist’s mentality during that period.
