Abstract
This thesis examines the evolution and the aesthetic differentiation of the sound of Dance-pop productions with the aim of creating a modern music production based on the findings that will emerge through research and listening. The first part of the paper introduces the history and development of the Pop music genre, as well as the development of music technology. Then, the main elements and aesthetics of the music productions, selected from the year 1980 to the year 2022, are examined through critical listening and analysis to provide an extensive report on the characteristics of the music productions. Finally, the practical part of the paper analyses the planning and implementation of a music production, created for the needs of this research as a result of this study. Initially by recording and selecting the audio material and then its processing.
