Abstract
The current thesis has as subject the visual concept design of a videogame. The goal was to create a series of sketches and drawings that capture the essence of the characters and environments of the imaginary world of the game. The designs are created in traditional and digital medium and presented as a collection in an Art Book titled “The Art of BEYOND DUST”. Emphasis in the project is put on the creative process like brainstorming, problem solving, exploring possibilities and experimenting with techniques to achieve the desired aesthetic result. Also the work focuses on artistic expression through design, development of skills and application of knowledge gained from research and practice.
