Abstract
The present thesis is a translation from the French to the Greek language from the original text “Cinquante propositions françaises pour protéger le patrimoine de l’humanité”, of a report that Jean-Luc Martinez, Director and Managing Director of the Louvre Museum, wrote in 2015 addressing the ex-President of the French Republique, François Hollande. This report, written by a History of Art expert, is aimed to communicate the current situation in all over the world concerning the cultural heritage nowadays. The current problems, the protection and maintenance difficulties of the cultural heritage from countries that are in armed conflict, the illegal trafficking of cultural heritage and the vandalistic actions against them, are widely analyzed. At the same time, the current conditions for their protection are mentioned, as well as the organizations that are charged with their protection.
