Abstract
On this particular assignment, an attempt was made throughout a wide variety of theoretical approaches in order to look into the behavior of the visitors in a modern museum, its role and its priorities. In that sense, through a bibliographical retrospect and research, there was yet another attempt of understanding visitor behavior in a museum environment and its general stance towards it. The reviewed surveys offer valuable information in order to delve deeper in this particular phenomenon even though the results are presented for contemplation and suggestions for future surveys on the field. Combining the theoretical context with the reviewed research, there will be an attempt of approaching the museum’s experience as it is stated upon looking into the inquiry. To summarize, a presentation was made to showcase the needs and desires of the visitors in museums and the behavior that they show each time, based on their individual and unique characteristics. It could be said, of course that throughout the theoretical approaches, in which there was an attempt of conformation in the scope of society generally and the scope of museums specifically, but also with the tool of reviewing older research, issues that were possible to be a part of a basis on which future surveys could depend on, came up.
