Abstract
This thesis is about the translation from English to Greek of the first chapter of Peter J L Thompson's coaching book entitled "Introduction to Coaching: The Official IAAF Guide to Coaching Athletics" (2009). At the same time, a commentary is included that describes the entire translation process, the translation techniques and strategies that were used, as well as the difficulties that were faced and their solutions.
