Abstract
The subject of this thesis is the design of a smart parking system for people with disabilities, which will increasingly facilitate the lives of people, especially people with disabilities.
The achievement of such a parking system aims to provide a solution to the problem faced by both disabled people and their companions in finding a free parking space that rightfully belongs to them.
At the initial stage, for the preparation of this thesis, a study of the theoretical background of various systems, both from foreign and Greek and foreign literature, was carried out. In addition, a survey, through a questionnaire, was conducted, which has the ultimate goal of raising public awareness on the issue of illegal parking in disabled spaces and ramps.
Finally, the work will result in the design of a smart parking system with the development of new technologies to solve more and more problems.
