Abstract
Here we present deep-learning techniques for healthcare, centering our discussion on deep learning in computer vision, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, and generalized methods. In this article we describe how these computational techniques can impact a few key areas of medicine. Our discussion of computer vision focuses largely on medical imaging. Furthermore, is described the application of natural language processing to domains such as electronic health record data. In addition, the applications of reinforcement learning in the context of robotic assisted surgery are discussed and at the same time generalized methods of deep learning in the field of Genomics are examined. All subfields of Machine Learning, such as Deep Learning, are examined and analyzed in detail.
