Abstract
This work consists of the translation and translation commentary of a study published on an official website of the European Union dealing with Precision Agriculture and its future in Europe by the Scientific Foresight Unit (STOA) of the European Parliament. The reason for choosing this particular study is initially that it is an extremely interesting issue that concerns us all in recent years, especially after the disastrous consequences of climate change and overconsumption. Members of the Supervisory Committee were Professor Sotirios Livas as first supervisor and Professor Georgios Kentrotis as second supervisor.The authors of the study deal with Precision Agriculture, a new type of agriculture that uses digital techniques to improve yields while reducing production costs and the environmental impact of extensive agriculture. The study aims to inform members of the European Parliament about the current situation, possible improvements, social concerns and make policy proposals to policy makers.
