Abstract
Diseases that affect trees cause problems in various areas, such as quality reduction, quantity reduction and production quality. In the present work, a standard system was implemented that offers the possibility of recording the humidity and in general the liquids that are inside the trunk of the trees. With this recording the user will be able to receive information about the health of the tree he is examining, after checking the amount of moisture inside the tree, he will be able to observe if it is healthy or has drying tendencies. This work first describes the problem that the standard construction is called to solve and then presents other research that has been done on the specific problem or similar in order to solve it. Also, very important reference is made to the description and application of the tools and methods used resulting in problem solving techniques. At the same time, the work presents the main diseases and problems recorded in the olive tree. The olive tree was chosen because the experiments of the system take place on the island of Corfu and as it is known it is the most important tree on the island, since most of the inhabitants are traditionally engaged in the production of olive oil either professionally or as an amateur. Initially the system was tested experimentally with branches so that it can be adjusted properly so that it can cope with the field. The developed system was then installed on an olive tree in order to receive data from inside its trunk. The work is completed with the presentation with practical proof of the standard system, since data are presented both from laboratory tests and from measurements in the field. Finally, it leads to conclusions about how efficient the system is, further improvements and presentation of data in diagrams.
