Abstract
My senior thesis consists of the translation and commentary of the speech of the German Chancellor Mr. Olaf Scholz on 27 February 2022 in the German Bundestag, on the subject of military equipment, on the occasion of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This speech was chosen as it deals with an extremely topical issue, Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the decisions taken by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to strengthen his country's armed forces. I also translated the intervention of the German Foreign Minister Mrs Annalena Baerbock, which focuses on Germany's foreign policy on the Ukrainian issue.
