Abstract
The present work is divided into two parts. The first part is a research carried out during the composition of the work for orchestra "INFERNO", while the second part includes the analysis of the synthetic reasoning behind the work. The research has to do with understanding the meanings of the seven deadly sins and what each one represents, through Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. The search for the appropriate music "illustration" - transfer of each different concept and the total of the seven deadly sins in sound, determined in this case the structure, the structure and the musical material used.
