Abstract
Sequenza III, for a solo female voice, will mainly concern us on the part of the performer. We will begin by referring to the musical background of the composer, his professional relationship with Berberian, the influences he has received from the early-century artistic movements (cubism, futurism, etc.) in central Europe and America, in order to we come up with four analyzes by David Osmond-Smith, Istvan Anhalt, Halfyard Janet, Jean-François Lyotard and Joke Dame to better understand the three unifying elements of Sequenze and, in particular, Sequenza III for female voice: vituosity, polyphonie and dramaturgy, which are of fundamental importance for understanding and, therefore, the interpretation of these compositions.
