Abstract
The research, which was analysed in this paper, through statistical data taken from the European area and from previous already posted and published surveys, analyses in depth the impact of firearms use and violence on people. Thus, these statistics are presented in order to show the difference between the United States of America and Europe on the issue of violence and consequently gun violence. The research is divided into sections and subsections, starting with the history of violence and the case of the United States and ending with the lack of research that deals exclusively with European data and the implications of legalising gun ownership in the future. In addition to the original text and its translation, this paper also consists of a commentary on the text and the translation problems that arose during the translation process.
