Abstract
Αt the beginning of this paper, we are going to quote some elements about the history of the Ionian Islands, and then we are focusing on the history of the island Lefkimmi, by presenting its geographical - cultural - linguistic and political elements. In the second part of the paper, we are presenting the theoretical framework surrounding the teaching of local history, and then proceeding to a detailed presentation of a working plan for the lecture for the local history of Lefkimmi, as part of the pupils' school work. This plan will present the responsibilities assumed by four groups, as well as the work they will present within the classroom.
