Abstract
The purpose of this study is the observation, comparison and analysis of the different acoustic properties that are present in natural and urban soundscapes. More specifically, the basic aim was to design two different soundscapes – one natural and one urban - in order to compare them, theoretically, according to the theories of R. Murray Schafer and Bernie Krause, but also in practice, with the development of two web based, virtual soundscapes, using the Street View application by Google and the experimental framework The Sounds of Street View by Amplifon.
