Abstract
This thesis examines the use of educational robotics in the classroom and its impact on the learning process. The purpose of the research is to explore how incorporating robotic systems will enhance students' educational experiences and improve their problem solving and critical thinking skills. The methodology followed includes experimental activities using robotic kits, interviews with teachers, and a survey to students about attending robotics classes. These activities were designed to give students the opportunity to engage practically with robot creation, to face challenges and to develop new skills. The results of the research show that educational robotics can increase students' interest in STEM subjects while promoting the development of important skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration. Students who participated in the robotics activities showed improvement in teamwork and development of creative solutions to problems they may encounter. In addition, various ways of integrating educational robotics in schools are suggested and the difficulties of doing so are mentioned. Finally, various projects that have been carried out in robotics classes and which can be implemented in schools in the same way are presented. These projects include student-developed applications that show the potential and benefits of using educational robotics in the classroom.
