Abstract
This thesis examines the use of the musical fairy tale as a means of approaching the conceptualization of child bereavement. The theoretical framework discusses aspects of childhood grief and the difficulties that can occur in the process. Furthermore, an approach to the musical fairy tale through its practical application in schools is attempted, which facilitates the artistic and emotional development of students, as it offers an accessible and interactive method for learning and developing their cognitive skills. The practical framework focuses on the writing, composition and recording of a musical fairy tale and its prospective practical application in school. The story, created as part of this thesis, combines narrative and music composition elements, aiming to approach themes of loss and grief with sensitivity and understanding. Included are the recording of the musical fairy tale, the script on which it was based, the scores of the musical works, and suggested ways of their teaching application. This thesis focuses on finding ways to allow children have a tool to express and understand their emotions, while enhancing the development of their emotional intelligence and expressive skills.
