Abstract
Air pollution is considered one of the biggest environmental risks and has a multifactorial effect on aspects of economic and social activities. According to the methodology of the European Environment Agency, in the period 9/1 to 11/2 in a total sample duration of 34 days the city of Naoussa presents in 47.1% of the days extreme poor air quality, 44.1% of the days very poor quality air and 8.8% of days poor air quality. The study of linear regression models showed that 86.3% of the change in the concentration of PM2.5 microparticles can be interpreted through changes in the terms of wind speed, atmospheric pressure, wind direction, wind speed squared and atmospheric pressure in the square. In this linear model the standard error between observations and model is 10.48 mg / m3.
