Abstract
The present research dissertation deals with the phenomenon of linguistic error and how this is reflected in Intercultural Primary Education. Specifically, it tries to investigate the attitude of the teachers of the Intercultural Primary Schools regarding the phenomenon of linguistic error, in terms of its detection, the way of its evaluation and how it can be treated. For the realization of the above intention, the linguistic error is presented in detail, as it is a linguistic phenomenon that is found at all levels, since it concerns the linguistic deviations from what is required by the norm but also the operation of the Intercultural Primary Schools. The research sample consists of eight teachers and four professors in specific fields. A qualitative method was applied and the semi-structured interview was used for data collection. The findings of the research shows that language error occurs daily in the classrooms and school premises of the Intercultural Primary School, different views are presented on how to evaluate it, depending on the subject and personality of the teacher and the ways in which it is proposed to deal with this linguistic phenomenon concern the triptych: state, society, individual. The present study presents a first attempt to capture the linguistic error in Primary Intercultural Education due to the small sample of either school units or teachers.
