Abstract
This specific thesis aimed to investigate how much the reading policy of libraries has developed in Greece at the beginning of the 21st century. For this purpose, a survey was carried out in the libraries, specifically in the 46 Public Libraries of Greece in order to highlight which of these libraries have developed a plan for the reading policy, the actions with which this plan is supported or the absence of a reading policy and actions.
Primary data were obtained by completing structured questionnaires consisting of 11 questions (some of which also have sub-questions). In addition, the questionnaire was categorized into 4 thematic sections. The collected data were analyzed in one of the chapters of the thesis.
