Abstract
The current paper summarizes my experience as an intern at the Municipality of Igoumenitsa and in particular, at its Tourism Office. The purpose of this study is to highlight the whole experience of my involvement in the production process, giving a short presentation of the host-organization, a detailed description of the duties, the requirements and the challenges faced, and finally a critical appraisal of internship, as well as some improvement suggestions for the future. Particular emphasis is given in my participation in Tourism Office’s everyday tasks, holding a full-time position, for a period of two months, starting from 01.07.2023 and ending 31.08.2023, with duties related to intercultural communication, as well as political discourse formation.
