Abstract
"Helena" is a story about the inner search and dramatization of the psychosomatic process of definitive separation that is being experienced by a child, which determines our interpersonal relationships up to adulthood.
Freud refers to the mechanism of regression in the seventh chapter of "Interpretation of the Dreams", formulating the first local theory and the initial metapsychological proposals.
The attachment theory and all four types of it we can find in the general theory of John Bowlby. These types are "secure attachment", "avoidant attachment", "ambivalent attachment" and "disorganized attachment". He also articulated all three phases of definitive separation: the protest phase, the desperation phase, and the release phase.
According to Pierre Marty, the appearance and functioning of instincts and death motions, are a result of the failure of the previous evolutionary precursor, or a resulting injury.
Director Geebran Warchausky had as his main intention to bring an inner experience to the viewer and to present these psychological and psychosomatic theories.
Thus, the writing of the music and the conception of the mechanisms that will allow the viewer to understand even subconsciously the deeper meaning of the well-designed scenes of the upcoming Brazilian director, could not be left indifferent.
Compositional effort was to serve the picture without a motif inconsistency, which is not usually achieved in film music for obvious reasons, since that is not the role of music.
