Abstract
"Sugar Hunting" is a psychological horror short film, and is also part of the "art film" genre. The plot, metaphorically analyzes the pursuit of self and happiness, by using the broader concept of addiction. The main character Zoe, is located inside a nightmare looking for her roomate Anne, who is missing in the desserted and spooky town of Corfu. A series of bizzare and unexplained events, as well as the sense that someone is following her, lead her (Zoe) to believe that something terrible and unnatural is taking place. Zoe, is unaware that she is located in a nightmare, inside her own mind, and that she is actually looking for the "alternate self" she created, and she has the belief that she can't survive without.
