Abstract
This dissertation has the form of a translation followed by a commentary, as defined in the Bachelor’s Dissertation Regulation published by the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University. The selected text falls under legal translation from English into Greek and was written by the Committee A of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly. It deals with the commercial relations and the border between Ireland and the United Kingdom, after the latter’s withdrawal from the European Union. The commentary following the translation includes an analysis of the skopos of the translation, terminology issues found in the text, various elements that influence the translation choices, the translation problems detected, as well as their solutions. The dissertation also includes an annex that contains a glossary with the terminology of the text.
